My introduction to EVE Online was by two friends from work back on 2010. I was in the search for a space MMO as I origionally was a PVP/RP/Vertan-of-many-other-titles-guy from Star Wars Galaxies, over on the Starsider galaxy under the same name of Kentt Em'asep.
When I first entered the universe of EVE online, I was attracted to the Minmatar race. Their proud traditions and nomadic lifestyles almost reminded me of the clans of Scotland back when they fought against their southern English neighbors. I liked that. Plus, turning off EVE's music player and starting up some tunes like Wicked Tinkers or Kinship while flying a mobile wreak with guns attached was fun to do.
So thus the life began for Kentt Em'asep. I had visions of flying large deadnaughts, epic fleet battles, and lots of action. I of course started out small... and soon fell in love with my little zippy Reaper (which I later made out of digital Legos). I started in Pator I think... and my friends were all the way across the galaxy in the Oursulaert system! So I began my journay, not even bothering to take the noob helper missions back in Pator. The funny thing was my journey occured while at my RL work during our quiet nightshift hours. My friend had his internet-giving phone and I brought my laptop over. And then I had Kentt go upon his journey on autopilot as me and my friend left to go continue work and earn our paychecks. He arrived nice and safe over in Oursulaert which surprised my friend.
Kentt's first battle in his Reaper was when I took him on a level 4 security mission with my two friend's corporation. Our Corporation, Sec Det 125, specialized as mercenaries who flew under the flag of the Gallente Federation and to serve in protecting the peace from evil rats. So here I am in my Reaper, and one friend in his battleship with another alt supporting him. My other friend is in a Catalyst.
So we warp in and I come in first as I my ship was faster. I wait for them and once they come in I go to tackle the enemy battleships. I remember at one point while I was obiting one at 5k or so away, another battleship that was not so far away starts to fire at me! I started to charge at that ship as I remembered reading that their big guns can't hit me when I am close. So I start speedtanking him successfully to the surprise of my friends. I still remember thinking how funny it was... obiting a enemy in my Reaper... as my friend's 8 large Lasors of Justice rained down on both me and the doomed enemy.
About a year later, I started a new account (because I did not want my characters to take turns in training) and thus Neka was born. She was origionally intended to simply support Kentt in fights and to mine or haul stuff (and to be eyecandy... I can't lie >.>). But she turned into a character of her own over time, along with getting into RP.
Now here is some interesting facts about Neka. She first started out as a name change for Kentt back on SWG when I decided to have his name changed to Nek Petsamet. The cool thing, is if you rearrange "Nek Petsamet" you can form the name "Kentt Em'asep". I had thought that was really cool and took pride to it. On EVE, I decided to try a female just to try something different and made another Vherokior with the same piercing arrangement as Kentt. I added a "a" after Nek and volla! Main character number 2 was born!
Not a whole lot of depth for Neka since she was made. I just go with whatever RP has for her and that becomes her history.
Well, I will take off now. I'll write tommorow with current and future events I hope to accomplish. I might write more about past experiances later down the road.
